Welcome to Fern Tree Therapy
Compassionate Trauma informed Support

About me
My name is Tracey Whalley, and I’ve been working as a Therapist for over ten years. Before anything else, though, I’m a human being, shaped by my own life experiences, both the difficult and the calm.

It was through my own healing process that I found my way into this work: supporting others during their most difficult moments, offering steady, compassionate presence.

I specialise in trauma informed therapy, combining professional training with deep intuition and an open heart.
My approach is flexible and responsive, adapting to you and the pace of your healing.
Here, you are free to show up as you are, without pressure or judgement.

I believe change often begins when someone truly sees us—without trying to fix or rush us, just being there, fully present and being the witness that we might never have had.

My professional background includes training in Person Centred Counselling, Level 5 CBT, Trauma, Level 7 Attachment, Somatic approaches, Dissociation, Internal Family Systems, and Clinical Supervision. I’ve also had the privilege of working closely with people diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder.

I have a strong respect for the body’s role in healing. My understanding of Psychoneuroimmunology, the connection between mind, emotions, the nervous system, and the immune system, reminds me that our emotional experiences are also held physically. Therapy can help to bring relief to those deep, embodied patterns of pain.

All of my work is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and care. I’m here to walk alongside you and support whatever your healing requires.

My core training took place at Manchester Counselling Training Centre and The Manchster Institute for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
